General Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale
These general terms and conditions govern the use of the website https://congresmedicis.com and the sale of goods and services offered by the Medical Association of French-Speaking Students of Iași (AMSFI).
By using this website and making a purchase, you indicate that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.
Article 1 - Definitions
- "AMSFI" or "the Organizer": the Asociaţia Medicală a Studenţilor Francofoni din Iaşi (Medical Association of French-Speaking Students of Iași), a Romanian non-profit association, CIF 40833956.
- "MÉDICIS" or "the Congress": the International Congress of Medicine and Dentistry organized by AMSFI in Iași, Romania.
- "Website": the website https://congresmedicis.com.
- "Participant": any person registered for the Congress via the Website.
- "Pack": a registration package comprising a defined set of services.
Article 2 - Purpose
These general terms and conditions define the terms of access and use of the Website, as well as the conditions of sale of the packages and services offered for the MÉDICIS 2026 Congress.
Article 3 - Intellectual Property
All content published on the Website (texts, images, logos, documents, videos, graphic elements) is the exclusive property of AMSFI or its partners.
Any unauthorized reproduction, representation, or use, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited and constitutes infringement.
Article 4 - User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To register for the Congress, users must create a personal account on the Website. When creating an account, users agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
- Maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials
- Update their information in case of changes
4.2 Account Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the use of their account and any activity carried out through it. They must immediately inform AMSFI of any unauthorized use.
4.3 Suspension and Termination
AMSFI reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user account in case of:
- Illegal use of the Website
- Violation of these terms and conditions
- Inappropriate or fraudulent behavior
Article 5 - Goods and Services Offered
5.1 Available Packages
The packages offered for MÉDICIS 2026 are:
- Classic Pack: access to conferences, workshops, and basic events
- Gold Pack: extended services including discussions and additional events
- Platinium Pack: complete package with priority access and exclusive benefits
- Resident Pack - EMC Credits: package dedicated to doctors and residents including EMC credits
5.2 Abstract Option
The "Abstract" option allows participants to:
- Present their research work to a scientific jury
- Benefit from publication in the congress proceedings
This option is available as an add-on to any pack at the time of initial purchase. AMSFI reserves the right to subsequently offer this option as a separate purchase, independent of any pack purchase. The applicable pricing for such a separate purchase will be communicated on the Website if and when available.
5.3 Bus Transport Option
AMSFI plans to offer a bus transport service between various Romanian cities and the Congress venue in Iași.
This option, when available, may be:
- Added as a complement to any pack at the time of initial purchase
- Offered as a separate purchase, independent of any pack purchase
The cities served, schedules, and pricing will be communicated on the Website as soon as this service becomes operational. AMSFI reserves the right to modify the conditions of this service based on logistical constraints and demand.
5.4 Included Services
Depending on the chosen pack, participants may benefit from:
- Access to conferences and workshops
- Admission to discussions and social events
- Opening and closing ceremonies
- Meals (coffee breaks and lunches)
- Invitation to the Iași National Opera
- Attestation of participation (digital or printed)
- Congress bag and goodies
The precise details of each pack are indicated on the Ticketing page of the Website at the time of purchase.
Article 6 - Prices and Payment
6.1 Prices
Prices are displayed in euros (€) including all taxes on the Website. AMSFI reserves the right to modify prices at any time, without affecting orders already confirmed.
6.2 Payment Methods
Payment is made online via the secure platform Netopia Payments, a PCI-DSS certified payment service provider.
AMSFI never stores users' banking data. This data is processed directly by Netopia Payments in a secure environment.
6.3 Order Confirmation
The order is considered final after:
- Validation of the order form
- Acceptance of these general terms and conditions
- Confirmation of payment by Netopia Payments
A confirmation email is sent to the address provided during registration.
Article 7 - Refund Policy
7.1 General Principle
Congress registrations and purchased packages are firm and final. No refunds are granted except in the cases provided below, without prejudice to the rights conferred upon you by mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
7.2 Refund Cases
A refund is granted only in case of:
- Total cancellation of the Congress by the Organizer
7.3 Refund Exclusions
No refund will be granted in case of:
- Participant absence
- Personal impediment
- Partial modification of the program
- Visa refusal
- Non-compliance with participation conditions
7.4 Refund Procedure
In case of Congress cancellation, the terms and deadlines for refunds will be communicated to participants electronically at the email address provided during registration.
Article 8 - Right of Withdrawal
8.1 Exclusion from Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Article 16, point (l) of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for:
the provision of services related to leisure activities if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance
Registrations for the MÉDICIS Congress constitute services related to leisure activities with a specific date of performance (the Congress dates). Consequently, pursuant to this provision, no right of withdrawal applies to purchases made on the Website.
8.2 Ticket Delivery
Tickets (Congress access) are delivered electronically:
- A confirmation email is sent immediately after payment validation
- Access to digital tickets is available in the Participant's personal space
- The physical access badge is delivered at check-in upon arrival at the Congress
8.3 Ticket Transferability
Tickets are issued in the participant's name and non-transferable, except with prior written authorization from AMSFI. Any unauthorized transfer will result in ticket cancellation without refund.
For any transfer request, contact contact@congresmedicis.com at least 30 days before the Congress begins.
Article 9 - Congress Proceedings
9.1 Official Language
The official language of the Congress is French. All activities take place in French unless otherwise indicated. By accepting these terms, participants certify that they have a good command of French.
9.2 Congress Badge
Access to Congress venues and events requires presentation of the official physical badge, provided at the start of the Congress. In case of loss or theft, participants must immediately contact contact@congresmedicis.com.
9.3 Behavior
Any abusive, violent, or inappropriate behavior towards staff, speakers, other participants, or partners will result in:
- Immediate expulsion from the Congress
- Permanent ban from future MÉDICIS events
- Account deletion without refund
The Organizer will cooperate with competent authorities if necessary.
9.4 Activity Booking
Registered participants will be informed of the booking procedures for activities (workshops, conferences, discussions). As the number of places is limited, allocation is based on booking order and the terms of the chosen pack.
Article 10 - Attestation of Participation
10.1 Conditions for Obtaining
The attestation of participation is issued to participants who have met the attendance criteria required for their pack. An attestation of abstract presentation is issued only to participants who presented an abstract.
10.2 Delivery Methods
- Digital attestation: available for download from the personal space within two weeks after the Congress
- Printed attestation: delivered on-site for packs including this option
10.3 EMC Credits
EMC credits are awarded only to doctors and residents, subject to compliance with participation conditions defined by the Romanian College of Physicians.
Important: The actual awarding of EMC credits depends on validation by the competent authorities (Romanian College of Physicians). AMSFI commits to undertaking the necessary steps but cannot guarantee the obtaining of credits, as this is solely at the discretion of the certifying bodies.
Article 11 - Personal Data Protection
AMSFI is committed to processing participants' personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Article 12 - Image Rights
12.1 Authorization
By participating in the Congress, you authorize AMSFI and its partners to capture and use photos, videos, and audio recordings made during the event for communication and promotional purposes.
12.2 Right to Object
If you do not wish to appear in communication materials, you may send a request to contact@congresmedicis.com at least 20 days before the Congress begins.
Article 13 - Limitation of Liability
13.1 Accuracy of Information
AMSFI strives to ensure the accuracy of information published on the Website, without being able to guarantee the complete absence of errors.
13.2 Exclusions of Liability
AMSFI shall not be held liable for:
- Temporary interruptions or malfunctions of the Website
- Damages resulting from non-compliant use
- Services provided by third parties (catering, accommodation, transportation)
- Force majeure or events beyond its control
- Damages resulting from the behavior of speakers or other participants
Article 14 - Force Majeure and Cancellation
14.1 Definition
The following are considered force majeure events: natural disasters, epidemics, wars, terrorist acts, government decisions, general strikes, or any unforeseeable and irresistible event.
14.2 Consequences
In case of force majeure making it impossible to hold the Congress, AMSFI may:
- Postpone the event to a later date
- Cancel the event with refund to participants
No additional compensation may be claimed.
Article 15 - Modification of Terms
AMSFI reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Modifications will be:
- Published on the Website
- Notified by email to registered participants
Modifications take effect immediately after their publication.
Article 16 - Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, the other provisions remain in force.
Article 17 - Applicable Law and Disputes
These terms are subject to Romanian law and applicable European Union regulations, including the GDPR and Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.
Consumer protection: In accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis), consumers residing in the European Union retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their Member State of residence. This jurisdiction clause does not deprive consumers of the rights conferred upon them by mandatory provisions of their national law, particularly regarding consumer protection.
In case of dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, and for disputes between professionals, Romanian courts shall have jurisdiction.
